Solaride Academy
Betsson Group proudly contributed to the visionary mission of Solaride Academy, an innovative interdisciplinary education and collaboration initiative dedicated to nurturing future talents and promoting technology education. Engaging over 300 students, mentors, trainers, and partners, Solaride Academy is committed to shaping a generation that embraces adaptability, entrepreneurship, and a resilient ‘I give a damn’ mentality.
Over a two-year span, students passionately constructed a solar car from the ground up, culminating in their participation in the prestigious Bridgestone World Solar Challenge in Australia. This journey is not merely about building a vehicle; it’s about instilling values that empower young minds for a lifetime.
Betsson Group’s donation played a role in facilitating Solaride Academy’s journey to Australia, where they not only achieved remarkable success by securing the third position in their category but also earned special recognition for the best technical inspection.
Post-competition, we welcomed Mart Erik Kermes, Solaride Academy’s Head of Engineering, to our Tallinn office. Hosting a captivating Lunch and Learn session, Mart shared insights into the academy’s mission and the Australian competition. This event saw enthusiastic participation from our employees, predominantly working in the Product Development field, resulting in a vibrant 30-minute Q&A session.
