Charity Cooking
In July, our Betssonites in Budapest, Hungary, took part in a charity cooking event at the Budapest Bike Maffia farm. Our colleagues rolled up their sleeves and prepared 60 portions of potato paprikas and 30 portions of grilled sausages with fresh green salad and bread. All the food was packed and delivered to a nearby homeless shelter, spreading warmth and care to those in need.
Budapest Bike Maffia Farm is a dedicated organisation that supports the community by organising charitable activities and managing a farm where unsheltered individuals grow fruits and vegetables. The farm is run by the people in need who produce a variety of fruits and vegetables there. Our Betssonites had the opportunity to use freshly picked tomatoes harvested by themselves. The farm project is part of the non-profit organisation Budapest Bike Maffia, which has a variety of initiatives; you can find out more by clicking here.
Besides the charity cooking event, our colleagues also had the opportunity to learn more about the impactful work of Budapest Bike Maffia, and they even played a board game that offered eye-opening insights into the lives of people in need.
