Christmas Food Donation in Curitiba

Betsson and Athletico Paranaense came together over Christmas to benefit more than 230 families in Brazil

In order to celebrate their successful partnership and contribute to the Christmas supper of several families in Curitiba, Betsson and Athletico Paranaense held a campaign “Betting on a Better Christmas for All” from the 17th to 23rd from December. The campaign encouraged the community to donate non-perishable food and basic food baskets, which were then donated to families in need in Vila Torres, a community located in the Rebouças neighbourhood, in Curitiba, Brazil.

By the third day of the campaign, Betsson and the club had already collected about 800kg of non-perishable food and more than 300kg of Christmas poultry surpassing the expected amount. The food was then distributed to help more than 230 families in need registered with the Associação de Mães da Vila Torres, an NGO working with the local community..

Betsson, in addition to organizing the initiative, also made donations to help families have a happier and more prosperous Christmas. Bruna Caldas, Marketing Manager at Betsson, said “This is a date that not only marks traditions, but a moment of communion, of gratitude for those who remained present during this past year, for the family and, it is also a time to repay what was received during the year. It is the time to help and donate to others.”
