Goals for charity

With the initiative Målcirkeln, ie the Goal Circle, Betsson and the ice hockey clubs in SHL together support charities and local sports organisations. ​In August 2018, Betsson took over after NordicBet as main sponsor and exclusive betting partner to the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). With “Målcirkeln” Betsson Group donates money according to the number of goals in a game, which means the game affects the total sum. Each time a goal is made from the circle, a specific amount of money is donated to an association or organisation chosen by the club in whose home arena the game is played. It can be foundations such as the Swedish Childhood Cancer Fund, organisations to support youth or parasports or, as in the case of Malmö Redhawks, a charity cycling team. It’s up to the individual clubs to decide.
